“When we take care of our staff, they, in turn, will take good care of our customers” – this has been, and continues to be a driving principle underscoring much of what we do at JUMBO. Here, one of the best parts of taking care of our employees has to be coming up with new events to engage and excite them. For the very first time in June, our JUMBO staff were treated to a movie marathon at the Platinum Movie Suites @ Cathay Cineplex, featuring the adorable Despicable Me and action-packed Wonder Woman! The Platinum Movie Suites were certainly a luxurious break away from work, as our staff kicked back and enjoyed back-to-back films in maximum comfort and spacious reclining sofa seats. With two different genres, we also made sure there was something for everyone. In appreciation of all their hard work, dedication and commitment in supporting and propelling JUMBO’s growth over the years, this was a treat – well-deserved – for all our JUMBO staff!

Food Fiesta 2017

All foodies rejoiced when the Takashimaya Food Fiesta returned this year, and JUMBO was thrilled to be part of the extravaganza for the very first time! From 30 June to 16 July 2017, our booth at the Food Fiesta showcased JUMBO’s full range of Retail Packs such as the JUMBO Chilli Crab Paste and NG AH SIO Authentic Teochew Style Bak Kut Teh Spice – all of which were offered at attractive discounts of up to 20%! The crowds werecaptivated by the live cooking demonstrations by our own JUMBO chefs, and many left completely amazed by how easy it was to use the Retail Packs and re-create some of JUMBO’s finest dishes from the comfort of their homes. Customers also walked away with double the joy – tummies satisfied with the complimentary samples that were available, and return vouchers for every Retail Pack purchased to dine at our newly opened NG AH SIO Bak Kut Teh outlet located at Takashimaya Food Village!

On 12 July 2017, JUMBO Group marked a new milestone with our first JUMBO Seafood outlet opening in bustling Beijing, China! Poised as a crab specialist, our new outlet created a lot of buzz amongst the local food connoisseurs. With 30 years of experience and expertise in crab dishes, 10 different cooking methods and 10 star dishes such as Singapore’s world-renowned Chilli Crab, Black Pepper Crab and, Salted Egg Crab, JUMBO Seafood is a brand name to be reckoned with. One of the unique offerings at our Beijing outlet is an avant-garde version of the Chilli Crab dish – De-shelled Crab Claws. This specialty is befitting for formal events or business meals allowing one to enjoy it in class, without getting their hands (deliciously) dirty.
