Setting off in two batches on 6 to 10 March and 3 to 7 April 2017, this journey was an eye-opener as our staff visited a line-up of well-established restaurants and connected with the staff and management, most notably from Wow Prime, one of Taiwan’s biggest F&B groups listed on the Taiwan stock exchange with over 300 restaurants around the world.  “It was fascinating to learn how other companies fuse innovation into their service and management systems to maintain efficiency and quality. We hope to take what we’ve learnt and implement some of these ideas to our processes as well, to prepare for future growth”, shared Mr Alfred Chia, General Manager of JUMBO Seafood.

" Growth is never by chance, it is the result of all of us working together. With a shared belief and teamwork, we can grow the JUMBO brand, both in Singapore and overseas. "

This trip was also a bonding experience for our staff, where Group CEO Mr Ang Kiam Meng shared the company’s vision and business plans for the next 3 years at a workshop, which bolstered the camaraderie amongst staff.  After a day of reviews and analysis on each brand under the JUMBO Group, our staff felt a renewed sense of motivation and purpose to propel the JUMBO brand forward. “Our people have always been our most valuable asset. This trip serves as an excellent learning exchange for our team as we got to experience firsthand Wow Prime’s renowned service standards and learn from them. In addition, the trip also enabled us to align our goals and move forward as one JUMBO family,” emphasised Mr Ang. “Growth is never by chance, it is the result of all of us working together. With a shared belief and teamwork, we can grow the JUMBO brand, both in Singapore and overseas.”
