It is always at this point of the year when we find ourselves flipping the calendar pages once again, mulling over how swiftly time goes by. Instinctively, many will take a moment to pause and reminisce, or indulge in some self-reflection – what have I achieved this year? What were the good moments?

For us at JUMBO, 2016 has been nothing short of spectacular. This is the first year after our Initial Public Offering (IPO) and our share price continues to stay healthy at 61 cents as at 31 August 2016, more than 100% increase from the IPO price of 25 cents. The confidence our investors continue to have in us serves as a great source of motivation for us to keep improving and stay ahead of the curve.

The drive to better ourselves has been undoubtedly affirmed through the various awards we achieved this year. Notably, we clinched the “The Enterprise Award” at the Singapore Business Awards, which recognises small and medium enterprises for stellar performances in innovation, productivity, effective management and contribution to the community. Our awards rightfully belong to everyone at JUMBO and we are thankful for the commitment and hard work from all our staff, without which none of this would happen.

We also embarked on and completed the revamp of all our JUMBO brands’ websites! The online presence of a brand is increasingly important as cyber culture continues to thrive. Taking this major step in giving our websites an overhaul reflects JUMBO’s dedication to rise up to customers’ needs, ensuring that every touch point with JUMBO is a pleasant, user-friendly experience.

In our constant quest to expand our overseas presence, we have opened our third outlet in China at the Shanghai International Finance Centre (IFC). With plans to bring the JUMBO brand even further beyond local shores, we hope to be able to share more good news in the coming years!

The closing of 2016 spells exciting developments in the years ahead. We would like to wish everyone a memorable epilogue to 2016 and a wonderful start to 2017!
